Commencing in 1982, the Eisteddfod has continued to grow – it is now the largest competition of its kind in the country staged in August and September each year, providing opportunities and encouragement for young performers who receive critiques of their skills by highly qualified professionals – whilst promoting the performing arts in all genres of music, dance and drama – in a friendly, lively spirit of worthy competition.

Strings, Wind, Brass, Vocal, Piano, and Speech and Drama competitions are held at the Robina Community Centre during the event.

The City of Gold Coast is major sponsor and without this outstanding support, it would not be possible to stage this major cultural activity – the largest in the city.
